Repeatable sections in VLX provide a flexible and efficient way to create inspection templates that adapt to the number of items, areas, or systems you need to inspect. Whether you're inspecting multiple rooms, components, or repeated units, this feature allows you to reuse the same section of questions multiple times without rebuilding the template.

## Creating a Repeatable Section

1. In the **Template Editor**, identify the group of questions you may need to repeat during inspections (e.g., equipment units, rooms, electrical panels).
2. Create a **new section** and add the necessary fields and questions.
3. In the section settings, enable the **"Repeatable Section"** toggle.
4. Give the section a clear name that reflects its purpose (e.g., “Electrical Panel” or “Room Details”).
5. Optionally, enable **bulk rename** so you can give each repeated section a custom name and apply automatic numbering (e.g., Room 1, Room 2, Room 3).
6. Save your template.

## Using Repeatable Sections in an Inspection

1. During an inspection, you’ll see a button labeled with the section name (e.g., **+ Add Room**, **+ Add Unit**).
2. Click the button to add a new instance of the repeatable section.
3. Fill out each section instance as needed. You can rename any section to reflect the specific item or location being inspected.
4. If you need to remove an instance, click the **three-dot menu** and choose **Delete**.

### Managing Section Names: Rename & Bulk Rename

Repeatable sections become much easier to review when each instance is clearly named. VLX allows you to **rename sections individually** or **bulk rename them all** to keep your inspection organized and easy to follow—especially when inspecting similar spaces across a property.

Rename a Single Section

If you're inspecting rooms or spaces with specific names (like “Master Bathroom” or “Guest Bathroom”), you can rename each section individually:

1. Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** on the section header.
2. Select **Rename**.
3. Type your custom label (e.g., “Master Bedroom Bathroom”).
4. Click **Save**.

Bulk Rename All Sections

To label all repeatable sections at once using a consistent name and number:

1. Click the **three-dot menu (⋮)** on any of the repeatable sections.
2. Select **Bulk Rename Sections**.
3. Enter a base name (e.g., **Bathroom**) and optionally check **“Add automatic numbering”**.
4. Click **Apply Bulk Rename** to update all at once (e.g., Bathroom 1, Bathroom 2, etc.).

### Example: Bathroom Inspection Across a Property

If you’re inspecting multiple bathrooms in a house—like the **master bathroom**, **downstairs guest bathroom**, and **kids’ hallway bathroom**—you can:

- Rename each one to match its actual location for clarity in the report.
- Or bulk rename them to **Bathroom 1**, **Bathroom 2**, etc., and add location notes inside the section.

This keeps your inspection results clean, accurate, and easy for others to review.

## Summary

Repeatable sections help your team scale inspections, reduce template clutter, and stay organized—even when dealing with dynamic or complex environments. With the ability to rename sections, use bulk editing, and capture repeatable data clearly, this feature ensures flexibility without sacrificing structure.
